" Fowler Attended Medicare Conference "
Pennsylvania Attorney News
(Atlanta, Georgia). Colleen M. Fowler, an attorney with Michael J. O'Connor & Associates, attended a Medicare-Set Aside Program sponsored by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) on June 23-25, 2004 in Atlanta, Georgia.
Medicare Set-Aside Arrangements (MSA) are required in certain workers' compensation settlements where the claimant is eligible for Medicare at the time of settlement or where the settlement is over $250,000 and the claimant may be eligible for Medicare within 30 months of the settlement.
Medicare Department Heads provided insights on changing MSA procedures and regulations. The Program also provided an opportunity to network with Medicare Administrators and Industry Players.
Attorney Fowler concentrates in workers' compensation law and particularly case management and lump sum settlements. The law firm represents injured workers in a 13-county area in obtaining workers' compensation benefits, as well as defending against insurance companies attempting to terminate, suspend, or modify lost wage benefits.
