11th Annual WILG Convention Provides Opportunity to Learn
Attorneys Colleen M. Fowler, Paul J. Dufallo and Wayne S. Fegley attended the 11th Annual Educational Conference of Workers' Injury Law & Advocacy Group (WILG) on May 4-7, 2006 at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort in Orlando, Florida. WILG is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to representing the interest of millions of workers and their families who, each year, suffer the consequences of workplace injuries and illness.
The conference offered attendees the opportunity to learn from a staff of outstanding speakers. All lecturers chosen to present during the conference are highly respected experts from around the country, many of whom actively practice worker's compensation law. Presentation topics focused on the advancement of workers' rights through litigation and legislations. One topic of particular interest was "Making the Fair Labor Standards Act Work for Your Clients", which centered on a worker's right to be paid for all of the time that he or she spends performing any job related task. Michael J. O'Connor & Associates is currently accepting cases that relate to the wage and hour laws under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
