Michael J. O’Connor announced the addition of attorney William A. Kovalcik, Jr. to the Law Firm of Michael J. O’Connor & Associates. In practice since 1985, Kovalcik has an extensive background in all areas of law. With a total of 10 years experience in Personal Injury, 18 years in Workers’ Compensation and 4 years in Social Security Disability, Kovalcik is a great asset to the firm and is able to provide a wealth of knowledge and experience to our aggressive team of attorneys.

Kovalcik began his career working for Spence, Custer, Saylor, Wolfe & Rose in Johnstown, Pa. After several years, he made the move to Nikolaus, Hohenadel, Chesters, and Umbenhauer in Lancaster, Pa. Most recently, Kovalcik worked for Post & Schell P.C. in Lancaster, Pa. and Cox, Stokes & Kovalcik in Wellsboro, Pa. Before coming to Michael J. O’Connor & Associates, Kovalcik was a sole practitioner for his own Law Firm, the Law Firm of William A. Kovalcik, Jr.

Among Kovalcik’s many talents, he is currently a Freelance Writer and Reporter for The Pennsylvania Reader, located in Wellsboro, Pennsylvania. Kovalcik is also an Actor, Director and Playwright for the Hamilton Gibson Productions Community Theartre also located in Wellsboro, Pennsylvania.

Kovalcik received his Bachelors of Arts degree at St. Vincent College in Latrobe, Pennsylvania. With a major in English and a minor in Political Science, Kovalcik received Magnum Cum Laude honors. While attending St. Vincent College, Kovalcik was Captain of the Debate Team, wrote for The Phoenix; a collegiate literary magazine, and was a member of the St. Vincent Theatrical Players. Kovalcik then went on to the University of Notre Dame Law School in Notre Dame, Indiana, receiving his Juris Doctor in 1985. Kovalcik was a member of the Notre Dame Legal Aid and Defender Association.
