Attorneys Attend 10th Anniversary Conference of WILG
(Washington, D.C.). Attorneys Michael J. O'Connor, Colleen M. Fowler, and Paul J. Dufallo attended the 10th Anniversary Educational Conference of Workers' Injury Law & Advocacy Group (WILG) on April 8-11, 2005 in Washington D.C. WILG is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to representing the interest of millions of workers and their families who, each year, suffer the consequences of workplace injuries and illness. The conference focused on the advancement of workers' rights through litigation as well as legislation.
One topic of special importance was "Welding Rod Litigation: Evaluating the Work Place Injury". Medical research has linked welding fumes with permanent neurological injury such as Parkinson's Disease. There are currently 7,000 welding rod cases filed throughout the country in both state and federal court.
O’Connor Law is accepting welding rod cases. The firm also represents clients in workers' compensation, personal injury, dangerous drug, and social security cases. The firm's website, www.oconnorlaw.com, contains more detailed information.
