Newsletter from AAJ Chair Member Attorney Debra Matherne

2016 has already proven to be an exciting year!  The presidential election and its animated debates have taken over our television, phone, and tablet screens. Voter turnout is high. More and more Americans are eager to participate in the democratic process.

I hope to see the same enthusiasm at our upcoming convention! The 2016 Annual Convention will take place July 22-25 in Los Angeles, California. Our section will host a panel discussion. This year’s topics include the use of technology in acquiring clients, establishing referral relationships, and unions and their role in workers’ compensation claims. For more information and to register, please visit the event website:

In Los Angeles, I encourage all of you to share ideas, experiences, and the latest news from your home states. Our section is dedicated to educating our members on the best legal solutions for protecting injured workers throughout the country. Ultimately, our success depends on the active participation of all members.

Please share this organization with your colleagues! Undoubtedly, our section is a great resource for any claimant workers’ compensation attorney regardless of time spent practicing in the field.
